Me and Thor: the "table" is entirely made of PVC, while the secondary form is made of 20 mm thick HDPE. The top toroid is build using 200 mm o.d. aluminium duct, wound around a thick aluminium sheet (December 2000).

The primary is mounted on a PVC base standing on four tubolar glass-fiber legs. The legs slide into four table holes, thus allowing for setting the primary height and therefore the coupling coefficient (June 2000).

The filter intended to protect Thor's power supply.

From left to right, two HV socket connectors, four ceramic doorknob capacitors and two toroidal chokes. On the left the blue-canned primary capacitor (0.1 µF 50 kV) from Hipotronics.

The chokes are wound on a special hybrid material core that ensures low losses and high permeability (about 17000!). This results in an inductance of about 3 mH with only 15 turns of HV cable. The toroidal cores are manufactured in Germany and their o.d. is 5.1" (June 2000).
